Jaycee Park Playground Project

Jaycee Park, located at 3028 Independence Circle, was recently updated with new Playground equipment! New play equipment at Jaycee Park

The project involved the replacement of the playground equipment container, improvements to the short trail from Independence Circle, the addition of a picnic table with shade structure, and a new bench. A new park sign will be added later this year.

The playground equipment is now usable. However, the grass around the playground container will take time to get established, so please use the path and refrain from walking on the grass to help ensure it continues to grow.

The playground at this park was last replaced in 1994 and was currently the oldest in the park system. Planning started last fall, and a survey was sent to Jaycee Park neighbors asking for their input on the new equipment and if they had interest in being a part of the planning committee. Planning meetings were held in February. On March 11, the City Council approved the plans and specifications for the project and on April 22, the Council awarded the site work bid to Sunram Construction and the playground equipment bid to Flagship Recreation and Landscape Structures.
