National Night Out, New Hope's Night to Unite is Aug. 1, 2023. Check back here as the date nears for registration information!

What is National Night Out?

National Night Out, New Hope's Night to Unite is an annual community-building campaign held on the first Tuesday in August.

National Night Out, New Hope's Night to Unite promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our New Hope neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. It is an excellent opportunity to speak with police officers, city staff, elected officials and representatives from organizations that serve the City of New Hope.

Neighborhoods host various events, including block parties, cookouts, ice cream socials, sharing of safety and crime prevention strategies, visits from police, neighborhood walks, contests and much more.

Can I block my street for my party?

The required paperwork for a block party is available year-round. The block party paperwork is only needed if you intend to block the street for a block party set up in the roadway.

If your group wants to block the street for National Night Out, the completed packet (including Appendix A and Request for Barricades) is due by July 7, 2023. Requests turned in late will not be approved for this event. For events any other time of year, follow the directions on the form.

The registration deadline is July 21, 2023. Complete registration as soon as possible, especially if you would like to request a visitor for your event. The first 50 parties to register are eligible for a free party pack!
