Drop-off organics recycling is available at the Crystal Cove Aquatics Center, 4848 Douglas Drive in Crystal. The drop-off is in the northeast corner of the parking lot with a brown organics recycling sign on the gate.
Access to the drop-off is restricted to registered users. Residents may register by visiting the organics recycling page at
hrg-recycling.com. Once registered, residents will receive an email with specifics.
Organics must be in BPI-certified compostable bags or paper shopping bags. A list of accepted items is available on the HRG website at
hrg-recycling.com.
Residents may also sign up for curbside organics recycling service with their refuse hauler. It is an optional add-on service for which there is an additional fee. As an incentive, Hennepin Recycling Group will pay 50 percent of the cost for the first year of service, up to $100.
