Hennepin County Announces New Small Business and Nonprofit Relief Funding

Hennepin County announced an additional $24.6 million in relief grants available to small businesses and nonprofit organizations that earn revenue like businesses and have been impacted by the pandemic and related state restrictions. The funding was allocated to the county by the State of Minnesota.

Eligible applicants include:

  • For-profit businesses
  • Nonprofits that earn revenue similar to businesses and were impacted by Executive Order 20-99
  • Businesses that opened during the pandemic and were impacted by Executive Order 20-99
  • Home-based or mobile businesses/nonprofits with one or more W-2 employees in addition to an owner
  • Locally owned franchised businesses

The online application form is available on the Small Business Relief Fund page of Hennepin County’s website. The application process opens at noon on Monday, Jan. 4 and all applications must be submitted by Thursday, Jan. 14 at noon.
