Liberty Park is getting a makeover this year. Playground improvements are planned for the park, located on the City's north end at 9015 60th Ave N. The playground was last replaced in 2000, making it the oldest equipment in New Hope's park system. The project includes replacing both playground structures - one for younger children (ages 2 to 5) and the second for older kids (ages 5 to 12).
A survey was sent to the Liberty Park neighbors last fall, asking for input on the new equipment. Interested residents participated in meetings to help make the final decision on proposed plans.
Construction will begin in the spring, with completion expected by early June.
