New Hope HeyDay Festival

Updated May 20, 2020

Festival organizers have made the difficult decision to cancel the newly renamed festival, New Hope HeyDay, for 2020 due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. The new event will be launched in 2021.

Many New Hope residents have inquired about the future of Duk Duk Daze and the New Hope Lions Club, along with the city, are happy to announce that an annual festival is coming back next year, but with a few changes in place.

The Lions Club, who historically put on the event, along with the city of New Hope are highly committed to ensure that any event hosted in the city is safe and family-friendly.

The 2020 festival will return as a single-day event on July 11 in the City Center area near New Hope City Hall and other area businesses.

While many details of the event are still to be decided, there are already a few elements of what may be included in the 2020 festival:

• Kid bounce houses
• Food trucks
• Beer garden
• Live music
• Bingo
• Craft market
• Bean bag tournament

The 2020 festival will also feature a three-day softball tournament taking place July 17-19. However, the event is not currently planned to include carnival rides or fireworks.
