The Community Development Department:

• Defines future city development through long-range planning and zoning requirements, with adherence to the goals and objectives set forth in the city’s Comprehensive Plan.
• Reviews commercial and industrial development proposals for compliance with city standards and coordinates all construction and remodeling activities in the city.
• Protects public health and safety by ensuring compliance with city, county, state, and federal building codes.
