Bridge Closure at 42nd Ave & Highway 169
The 42nd Ave/Rockford Road bridge at Highway 169 is closed through fall 2023 as crews replace the bridge and reconstruct the interchange. Plan alternate routes.

The New Hope Performance Center is located at 4401 Xylon Ave N (just west of the New Hope Aquatic Park). The performancefront of performance center center hosts music in the park, city programs and special events, and is home to the Off Broadway Musical Theatre.

Storytime in the Park

All ages are invited to storytime sponsored by the cities of New Hope, Crystal, Golden Valley and Robbinsdale. Event is free but participants are encouraged to register at webtrac.nhrecexpress.com, select Tickets.

Acting Camps for Kids

kids posingParticipants will develop as actors by learning a script and preparing for a performance. On Friday evening at 7 p.m., they will put on a performance for family and friends complete with costumes, props, makeup and scenery. Instructor is Linda Bruning, who is assisted by Cyan Pampuch.

"Live from New Hope" - Ages 12-16
Learn how skits like those on Saturday Night Live are created. Use improv and writing to create skits, then perform for  a live audience on Friday night at 7 p.m. Participants should bring a peanut-free bag lunch and drink each day.

New Hope Summer Theatre

Off Broadway Musical Theatre will present "The Sound of Music" in the summer of 2023. This classic, heartwarming story is based on the real life story of the von Trapp Family singers, one of the world's best-know concert groups in the era immediately preceding World War II. Maria, the tomboyish postulant at an Austrian abbey, becomes a governess in the home of a widowed naval captain with seven children and brings a new love of life and music into the home. 

  • Wednesdays-Saturdays, July 19-29 (American Sign Language date is July 28)
  • 8 p.m.
  • A free will donation of $5 per person is suggested to help cover the cost of production. Food shelf donations for PRISM will also be accepted.
