Performance Center

The New Hope Performance Center is located at 4401 Xylon Ave N (just west of the New Hope Aquatic Park). The performancefront of performance center center hosts music in the park, city programs and special events, and is home to the Off Broadway Musical Theatre.

Storytime in the Park

All ages are invited to this storytime sponsored by the cities of New Hope, Crystal, Golden Valley and Robbinsdale. Event is free but participants are encouraged to register at webtrac.nhrecexpress.com, select Tickets.

Join Poppy for a storytime and dance party as she shares how she saved the Trolls from the Bergens on Trollstice. Meet all of Poppy's friends, and even a few Bergens, sing songs, watch Poppy play her cowbell and learn a dance to Branch's song "Can't Stop the Feeling". Presented by Princess Party Pals.

In this classic animated movie from 1994, a lion cub named Simba looks forward to following in his father's footsteps, but when tragedy strikes he runs away and becomes acquainted with two outcasts who teach him the ways of "Hakuna Matata". Remember the Titans - Thursday, August 25

Teddy Bear Band and Rich & The Resistors - Wednesday, August 31teddy bear band clipart
The Teddy Bear Band takes the stage at 7 p.m. for guaranteed family fun. Be sure to bring your Teddy Bear! Acting Camps for Kids

Participants will develop as actors by learning a script and preparing for a performance. On Friday, August 12 at 7 p.m., they will put on a performance for family and friends complete with costumes, props, makeup and scenery. Instructor is Linda Bruning, who is assisted by Cyan Pampuch.

New Hope Summer Theatre
Off Broadway Musical Theatre will present "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" in the summer of 2022. This show is the reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song with the help of a main character Narrator and a children’s choir, the musical follows favorite son Joseph, who stirs up jealousy among his brothers when he receives a coat of many colors from his father. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, Joseph ends up in Egypt where his ability to interpret dreams eventually promotes him to a position of power. 

  • Thursdays-Saturdays, July 21-August 6 (American Sign Language date is August 5)
  • 8 p.m.
  • A free will donation of $5 per person is suggested to help cover the cost of production. Food shelf donations for PRISM will also be accepted.
