Communications

The City of New Hope Communications Division helps residents, businesses and community partners stay informed and connected with the City.

As part of the Administrative Services department, Communications leads the City’s communications strategy and works across departments to determine what information the community needs, how and when it should be shared and which communication channels will be most effective. The division oversees the City’s website, social media, publications, media relations, branding and other public information efforts while helping ensure City communications are clear, consistent, timely and accessible.

The brochure is released seasonally and contains activities for winter/spring, summer and fall.

Sign Up for Community Alerts

The City of New Hope, New Hope Police Department and West Metro Fire-Rescue District use Smart911 to share timely information, including utility disruptions, snow emergencies, road closures, public safety incidents and other important community alerts.

When you sign up, the alert page will display “West Metro Fire District” and indicate that you are signing up to receive alerts from the district. Don’t let the name confuse you; this is the shared alert system used by the City of New Hope, New Hope Police Department and West Metro Fire-Rescue District.
Your registration includes notifications from all three agencies, not just fıre-related alerts.

Signing up is quick and free. You can also create an optional, secure safety profile with emergency contacts, medical information and other household details that can help first responders during a 911 call.

Don’t wait until you need an alert to sign up. Download the Smart911 app from the Apple App Store or Google Play or register online at newhopemn.gov/smart911.

Standard text and data rates may apply.
