Crews will be painting the 36th Avenue Bridge overnight from Monday, May 12, to Thursday, May 15. To facilitate this work, the bridge will be closed, and northbound lanes on Highway 169 will be reduced each night. Additionally, northbound traffic on Highway 169 will be closed at the bridge, but drivers can use the 36th Avenue on- and off-ramps as a detour.
Please note that all construction activities and traffic impacts are subject to change based on weather and scheduling conditions.
BRIDGE CLOSURE AND DETOUR
Beginning Monday, May 12, the 36th Avenue and pedestrian bridges will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. until Thursday, May 15 at 5 a.m.
During this closure, westbound traffic on 36th Avenue will be detoured via the northbound Highway 169 on-ramp to Rockford Road and then to southbound Highway 169. Eastbound traffic on 36th Avenue will be redirected using the southbound Highway 169 on-ramp to Medicine Lake Road and then to northbound Highway 169.
NORTHBOUND HWY 169 CLOSURE AND DETOUR
Also, starting on Monday, May 12, northbound Highway 169 will be closed at 36th Avenue from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night until Thursday, May 15 at 5 a.m. In advance of the closure, northbound Highway 169 will be reduced to one lane at 36th Avenue beginning at 9 p.m. each night.
During the closure, drivers will need to use the on and off ramps at 36th Avenue as a detour.
