In accordance with the Minnesota Open Meeting Law, all New Hope City Council meetings are publicized and open to the public, except in limited circumstances as specifically allowed by law.
Schedule
Regular city council meetings are typically held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, with work sessions scheduled for the third Monday of most months. Upcoming meeting dates can be found here.
Public Participation
The City Council encourages residents to attend and participate in regular council meetings. Each meeting includes a 15-minute open forum near the beginning, offering individuals an opportunity to speak directly to the Council on topics related to city business that are not on the current agenda or scheduled for a future meeting. Speakers are asked to limit their comments to three minutes.
While residents are welcome to attend and observe council work sessions, public comment is generally not taken during those meetings.
