What would you do if you were mayor for a day? The League of Minnesota Cities’ Mayor for a Day Essay Contest is back to find out!

Students in grades 4–6 are invited to share their ideas for improving their communities by answering the question, “What would you do if you were mayor for a day?” Winners will receive $100 and be recognized in Minnesota Cities magazine. It’s a fun way for students to learn about local government and imagine how they could make a difference in their cities.

The deadline for submissions is Dec. 12 with winners notified in early January.
