New Hope Proclaims May 10-16 as National Police Week
Posted on 05/12/2026
The New Hope City Council approved a resolution at its April 27 meeting proclaiming May 10-16, 2026, as National Police Week in the City of New Hope.

National Police Week honors law enforcement officers across the country for their service, dedication and sacrifice in protecting the public and maintaining safe communities. The week also includes Peace Officers’ Memorial Day on May 15, which recognizes officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

The proclamation recognizes officers of the New Hope Police Department for their continued commitment to safeguarding life, property and the rights of residents.

“Our police officers serve our community with professionalism, compassion and dedication every day,” said City Manager Reece Bertholf. “In addition to protecting public safety, support residents during difficult situations and work every day to build relationships and strengthen connections throughout our community. National Police Week is an opportunity to recognize and thank them for all they do for New Hope.”
